The above Buddhist temples is highly connected with Jayasumanarama temple. This was established in the year of 1905 by rev. Dammissara thero who was a resident priest of Jayasumarama temple.
Rev. Makadure Nanda thero & Rev. Malimbada Dayananda thero (both this reverent priest has already passed away ) along with the present chief priest of Jayasumanaramaya temple Rev. sastharapathi Somathila thero took a vain effect to bring this temple to high level.
The present deputy Rev. Yatigala somathilaka thero see to the uplift of this temple . This temple located on a land surround was hills & paddy-fields. When compeer to other religious places that area this temple has a prominent place.
Galpamuna temple hold Sunday school for the benefit of children education and to widen knowledge. A staff consisting 20 teachers & total of 400 student received there education
Additionally many organizations are held in this pirivena. Some of them are contribution committee of Galapamuna Chula Sumanaramaya. The Sangamitta Kulangana society Ekamutu Youth society, Cristol sport club, Galpamuna United young men's Buddhist Associations, Sirisumana pre-school & Galpamuna "Suhada" funeral society. As this is operated in a rural area & due to shortage of fanatical facilities it wall be very important leading with the aid of world Buddhist community.
